I am very, very happy that Obama will be our 44th president!I fell asleep (for shame!) before the speeches, but Z. woke me up to tell me Obama won and gave me a big hug, which was wonderful! I almost envy Z. that his very first experience voting in a presidential election is so exciting and momentous!
I am feeling both hopeful and (mostly) relieved this morning. We live in a very conservative area, so there were Republican lawn signs and bumper stickers everywhere, which depressed me. I think I saw like *one* sign for Obama. I am so glad this town is NOT representative of the country as a whole...
Today is a good day.
